There are many different ways to 'do mission'. Mission can be to
be far-flung nations, different area or as close as you neighbour. We
use a world-map in our church foyer, to bring-home how we connect
on a global sphere.
From personal contacts we are assisting 37
Sudanese refugee students who live in Uganda. We provide housing,
education, food and medical assistance. They live in one house in
Arua,
Uganda. They have a love for football
and learning.
In Feb 2012, Mostyn will be visiting the students,
to encourage them and to determine better ways we can support and
care for them. The support of these students is a major mission focus
for our congregation.
A group of people doing great work in our community are the Christian
Pastoral Support Workers [CPSW's](formerly Chaplains).
These dedicated workers give support to students, staff & parents
in many local Primary & Secondary schools.
It is exciting hearing about the work being undertaken to care for
these school communities.

newsletter from the CPSW's co-ordinated by the Schools Ministry
Tea Tree Gully Group (SMTTG)
There are many organisations involved in many ministry opportunities.
Often, it is better to partner with these groups, rather than 're-invent
the wheel'.
